The AGROCAST for October 2018 focuses on the NES title, Phantom Fighter.
Phantom Fighter is a title that often gets, in my opinion, a bad rap. It’s a game with issues and flaws, but some surprisingly good ideas. It has a slight learning curve, but feels good when you get it, and has buckets and buckets of delicious flavour sauce in its presentation. Or at least that’s my take.
This Halloween podcast I subject Kris to Phantom Fighter, and the infamous Jiangshi. Is my retrospective rose tinted? Absolutely. But we’re taking a look at this comedy horror martial arts game and seeing if it’s misunderstood or irredeemable.
