>>The Cast

The Game Boy Advance had a trilogy of Castlevania games. Well, trilogy only insofar as there were three of them released for the platform. Although they all followed the “Metroidvania” path, their place in the canon and story, and even mechanics are all quite different. So each of the Castlevania games stands on its own, but demonstrates a progression of the series in its sequence. This also means it’s easy for an individual to have a distinct favourite among the three, since they are so distinct themselves.

Harmony of Dissonance stands out with its falvour and visual presentation, and sometimes humorous execution. Kris and I return to Harmony of Dissonance to evaluate it as both a Castlevania game and its own entity.

Special shout out to having the most pants-shittingly scary area in any Castlevania game. Listen on, intrepid vampire hunters!
