The AGROCAST for July 2021 takes a look at Mega Man and Bass (Rockman and Forte) for the Super Famicom.
The Mega Man franchise spans several distinct series, and the ‘rival character’ isn’t an alien concept to it. Supporting cast, rival cast, they don’t get the chance to shine quite as often as playable – but there are moments in Mega Man where they get a chance to show their chops.
This was the hook for Mega Man and Bass, which ‘back in the day’ we heard of as Rockman and Forte. This is a title that for some time had that providence of being a game that didn’t make it west – until it did, on the Game Boy Advance. But there was a pocket of time where it enjoyed that flavour of hype.
